The "low line" DEKs are made in China now (same ones marketed in China under the ICON nameplate)... Higher level are still made in UK... I thinkk similar with MPM; I know they are still producing machines in Mass... Both suffer from cost down manufa

I doubt that will do anything. You have had the board powered down and powered back up, right? This will have the same effect. But hay, what have you got to loose?

Yes I have powered the board up and down many times and yes I have tried a different battery. This board should be able to work with no battery. I think I will have to pay for it to be fixed or find a replacement Many thanks

Rehm is good choice...uses higher grade materials and electrical parts , especially blowers (3 Phase), not the China Made blowers as use in Heller. Most perople complain about blower failure on Heller... which is a cost in blowers but more issue of

Check to see if the mount precision is set to high in the package acceleration field. We set this to normal and the oscillation went away. I wonder if slowing down the x-axis would help.

Thanks , If you reduce the placement precision the X-Axis does not make any noise but than I had placement /pickup problems when it comes to Ic's.Slowing down did not make any difference.

tombstonesmt: Ammonia based masks can create solderability issues after they are removed. You can get non-ammonia based latex mask material but down side is slower cure and cost a little more as they have higher levels of latex etc

I thought the the machine was slowed down to speed setting 1 for the x/y axis and the machine worked. I think the x-motor was on its way out.
