As an OEM, I would like to refer to a shipping standard for completly assembled and tested PCA. These are going to be shipped to me from Mexico and I want to assure they are packed and protected properly. Is there a standard that I can refer to?

Is anyone aware of any articles, white papers, etc., that discuss the gap between the lead and the pad after a SM joint is soldered? In particular, I am looking for a formula for that "gap" for various components.

IPC 610 *C* states that the solder thickness requirement is a properly wetted termination is evident. Fillet height is another aspect and is usually specific to the package but is some function of solder thickness plus a percentage of lead height. D

Magnets in the bottom of CP6 feeders ?

Does anyone know why there would be magnets on the bottom of the locating plate on a CP6 feeder ? We seem to have some feeders with them and some without.

For the criminally insane to help them locate the feeders? Or to help hold them down when changing them if you don't have those huge lumps of steel they clip into?

Dude - Keep away from the oven, you have sniffed to many fumes. Magnets aren't listed in the parts list, sacrafice an operator until someone fesses up!!!
