Russ, are you using any reduction on your stencil aperatures? How much for what type of parts? We seem to have to many problems with resistor network aperatures clogging. How well does this paste release from small aperatures?

I like Alpha Metals OM-5100. Very long stencil life with good results. Jerry

But our requirement is that the conditioning unit has to be kept at a distance from the sensor. Is there any compensation circuit available to reduce the noise effect?

You can contact the manufacturer of the sensor, I don't think they would have anything but they may be able to give you some advice. Can you route the cable a different path away from other cables or objects creating noise?

We have a couple of presses we use for cutting adhesive backers & depanelising flex's etc. You can usually get away with steel rule dies which cost a couple of hundred dollars instead of hard tooling.

I am looking for images of solder paste defects like Past stringing, paste gorging and dog ears. I would also like to have the avi file to show how tombstoning happens in the reflow oven. Thanks Bob

This sounds like you are using a straight ramp profile. For this type of an assembly you may need to use a soak type profile. Most solder paste providers show you both types of profiles that work best with that paste. I would try using that profil

Also try boosting the bottom zones up to get extra heat in. Now try this at lead free temperatures & watch them go pop as the air inside expands & vents at the base. O to be in America & be free of our wonderful european decision makers.
