Find out were the excess flux is coming from. See if it can be eliminated or reduced at the source. Lokely coming from something other than SMT assembly.

It sounds like the hard drive is the issue, and not the rest of the PC. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a copy of XP. Just install a new HDD and load XP. I might even have one. Is the Hard Drive IDE or SATA?

Look into dewpoint calculations. Then find the dewpoint for the ambient air where the oven is. Then calculate the RH of the oven at full temperature at that dewpoint and temperature.
