All of the 402 parts that we use come on 8X4 reels; double check the part pitch on the reel.

Thanks, but we don't have the parts yet, I need to know if it's do-able before the parts arrive, or I'll need to buy 20 new feeders if the parts are packaged on 8x2 reels.

The machine is a CP-6. Thanks to all for the replies. We may be able to specify the packaging for the parts, but being a consigned kit, it depends on if our customer has already ordered them or not.

Fuji will not sell the reel by itself. also, you need to change the tape guide to 0.7 in order to place the 0402. Tape guide cost you almost a hundred bucks. I don't think it is a good idea to modify the feeder.

That Fuji won't sell the reel by itself is difficult to believe. Is there a part number assigned to the reel? If so...they will sell it.

Why not check the parts lists for both the 8x2 & the 8x4 feeders ?. This should tell you for sure.

I have similar problem last year and it was due to defective SCSI MUX port. Take a try.

You should use deionized water and laboratory NaCl. Try a local college or high school for the NaCl. Otherwise, order it from a laboratory supply house [eg, Fisher Scientific, Spectrum Chemicals, etc].

Has anyone done a comparison between the newer Metcal APR-5000 BGA rework and Airvac DRS24? Were there significant advantages of Airvac over the Metcal that justify the cost delta? Rgds, Pete
