Tom I did as you instructed but same results so I actually changed the harness that has the two sensors (LED and RECEIVER) on the Z motor with a new spare I had hoping that was the problem. Alas that didn't solve it either. Any other suggestions?

Did you grease the tool o-rings? If they are too dry, the head won't slide onto the tool. Also, make sure the tools are flat in the tray. I'm assuming that you aligned on the center of the tool. And, try cycling the non-spring tools, like A24, to see

Ok, now we found the problem source. IM-556; panel control was damaged that cuase no supply voltage out to reference sensor, S2/S2.1 I would to share, thank you.
