some thoughts come to mind..... usually an air pocket as the solder heats up, or the surface is still solid and liquid under, pressure builds and then... check your heaters, make sure one (or more) is not bad, may be getting uneven heating. cover y

Here are some general rules for lead free wave solder: Noble aloys will cost more. Period. The cheapest metal on earth is lead. Costs can only go up in Lead Free. Consumer grade and class 2 electronics will most likely use Tin / Copper for wave.

AJ, Dek recommended the replacement of the wire harnesses on the Mk1's often (I think anually). I never saw this problem on a Mk1 but many other odd problems due to breaks in the wire harness. They had this as a kit at one time but I haven't worke

OK all you Gurus here's one for ya. Customer is tinning wires with standard eutectic solder in a solder pot. There is a blue tint to the solder in the pot. After tinning with OA flux, which I will change to NC shortly, he has clear teflon insulation
