I'm trying to hammer out the setup and operational costs to add Nitrogen to our SMT reflow process. Anyone have an idea on how much liquid N2 they consume monthly on an Electrovert or Conceptronics reflow oven? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm interested to know the guide line , or standard or evaluation methode of how many total parts per board allow to be changed and how many times a single location can be changed. Any other refinements you might have are of interest as well.

How about a double pass with your squeegee? Of course you then have the other associated headaches from too much paste on your pads, squeeze-out, bridges, extra cleaning, etc.

Does anyone know of a company who can repair and straighten the leads on QFP's? We have quite a few parts that were received with bent leads.

Steven, Dave is right, wash them away. Since it is RMA paste, you may need to have a saponifier to go for Semi-aqueous washing. Or you may want to contact your supplier for a cleaner to wash it away with some agitation ( ultrasonic). Mag.

I have no choice, as per customer's request to remove the solder balls. Can i use water to clean away the solder ball since i'm using RMA solder paste not the water soluable paste.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a cleaning solution used in an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning RMA solder paste off stencils and adhesive off pcb boards. I am going to be evaluating Armakleen 2001, Zestron Vigon SC 200, and Aqueous Technologies

Truth in promotion should have inclined Brian to disclose that the two searches on SMTnet are not created equal. [Welcome back, Brian. That wasnt very long, was it?] See http://www.smtnet.com/Forums/index.cfm?fuseaction=view_thread&CFApp=1&Thread_I

I have a PCB that requires me to use a pallet for support. I was wondering if anyone out there is currently doing this. My biggest concern is screen printing. I think I know how to handle it - but just want to know about any pitfalls.
