Is anyone using .062 aluminum circuit boards with copper conductors in your production lines? What kind of reflow profile is required? What special considerations are there to be looking for? I am asking for any information you can give me. Thanks

We used to do this kind of stuff in vapor, but do none now [although the imagination doesnt have to turn too much to envision doing it again]. Start here: * http://www.bergquistcompany.com * http://www.gouldelectronics.com

There a number of studies like this published by component fabricators. Many can be found on the net. For instance: http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/DownloadableAssets/Pb-free_Board-level_reliability_study.pdf

I was reading something on the Maori and whale watching the other day. Sounds beautiful. Congrats on the new job, mate. Please drink an Australis Benediction for me.

Manually move the beam away from the limits with the power down. Be sure the beam is parallel (marks to help with this are on the Y-axis lead screw covers near the machine front) and then power up again. Good luck.
