Would anyone know what IPC / JEDEC or other standards give tape and reel and/or other packaging instructions? What is the standard followed for component packaging? Thanks!!

for SMDs, try to look for EIA-481.1.2.3, or may be the new version EIA-200 if I am not wrong. Also IEC 60286-2 (leaded components like axials, radials,..) Regards......GS

see also the complete specific series of IEC-60286,IEC-60286-3, IEC-60286-4, IEC-60286-5,IEC-60286-6. All of those specs are realated to packaging specifications. Tape, reel,stick magazine,tray, bulk case,etc. Regards.....GS

Can some of you kindly share some of your experiences with PbF PCB finish (OSP, ENIG, Immer Sn, Immer Ni,etc.) What are the benefit and disadvantage? Some of the issues that has been encountered. Which one you would recommend?

immersion silver has become my favorite finish for lead free. Seems toi have good shelf life is stored in the silversaver paper. and reflows real well. Russ

The wetting problem is strange, is the metal in the pot a golden/yellow colour? what temp are you running the pot at? cheers greg

Does anyone know of facilities that just perform rework? I am in need of reworking approximately 1,000 panels in the greater Philadelphia area. (two components - one press fit connector, one a samll cap) Any input/advice would be helpful.
