Hello SMTnet members, I could not find any information about finger type selection. So I want to ask you What is the advantages and disadvantages of C or L type fingers difference for wave soldering machine? and which conditions are they using?

Typically C type fingers are used when running boards directly and L type are used when running boards in fixtures/pallets.

Dear Larry, Thank you for comment. In according to this, I heard that ıt is much useful to use L type finger when your PCB use without palet and the PCB is little bit heavy. What is your opinion about that?

I think it would have to be pretty heavy to fall out of the c fingers. I have never seen this happen in 30 years of wave soldering.

Thank you for feedback and comments. I have talked the people who worked with C and L types. They said same things like you. So, We have decided to buy wave soldering machine with L finger.

Here in this circuit LED is placed at the collector. i am with an impression that, IE=IB+IC. so it is better to keep at the emitter, right ? all the gain of the transistors are not utilized. What is the purpose of LED, placing at collector? Please e

You did not attach anything here. Transistor can be connected in different circuit(like common Emitter) and will use Collector current as output. Also Ic is about the same as Ie in value, as base current Ib is insignificant usually in uA.

There is a oven setup wizard on my 1809. your oven probably has one too. there you should be able to adjust blower speed for each zone.

Blower speed control is an option. If you have it, there will be an icon on the toolbar. Hover the mouse over the buttons for description.
