DEK APi X Calibration

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 20 12:37:48 EDT 2024 | ttheis

Well it rarely fails that I post here and resolve the problem shortly after. I noticed the "PelSizeY" value was in the hundreds instead (188) of tenths (0.155) which indicated some issue with Y calibration. This coincided with the alignment issue-

bad connections, or not?

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 19 12:17:57 EST 2001 | slthomas

Thanks Dave. Talked to a few people at APEX this week and if nothing else, had my frustration reduced some. Of course I made sure I talked to mfg. people and avoided the design guys like the plague. ;) I actually picked up a copy of 785 a while bac

Re: Accepting Stencils

Electronics Forum | Thu Nov 16 22:01:16 EST 2000 | Early Moon

I promised never to do this - BUT only for you needy folks when I have nothing else to do. And Dave's basically a good person though not as needy as most really needing this stuff. 1) Ensure internal Gerber data really matches board and stencil (Ger

Desiccants and pcb finish degradation?

Welcome!!! Where the hay ya been??? Sorry bud, were lining-up with your fab [it hurts me to say that, but when yer ] We used to dry pack with desiccants, also. Its probably an old MIL-STD-2073-1C requirement [er something like that]. We qui

cpk measurement on fuji equipment

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 04 12:22:07 EDT 2001 | davef

Several points: * Consider that your Cpk is probably different for both placing large and small components. * Probably your routine placement rate SB the speed you use to monitor the accuracy of your process. * Some people use a calibrated glass test

Re: Reflow Temperature Labels/Stickers

| I've heard about these reflow temperature labels/stickers but haven't seem to find them. Is there such a thing? And how reliable are they? I don't want to keep attaching thermocouple probes onto a board whenever there's a issue. | I think you are

James, Most rental DI systems are as follows: Option #1: 2 mixed bed resin tanks: In this case, a 1 M-Ohm light should be installed on the output of tank #1, before tank #2. When the 1 M-Ohm light indicates that the output of the #1 tank is below

DPMO calc and Overall Manufacturing Index (OMI) calculations

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 28 12:25:26 EDT 2001 | Steve

To be honest with you, it doesn't really matter how you present the data, as long as you understand what the problems are. Bottom line is who cares what the numbers are unless you are doing something about it. Are you able to track the individual de

DPMO calc and Overall Manufacturing Index (OMI) calculations

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 28 16:44:27 EDT 2001 | davef

Several points are: * Some may argue that DPMO is peculiar and specific. Thats why IPC-7912 states Users of this document are cautioned when comparing one manufacturers indices to one another due to differences in assembly complexity and the amou

IC Contamination

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 22 17:37:51 EDT 2001 | davef

Im aware of no such standard. There may be something in Euroland [ie, IEC, etc.] TM-650 Test Methods Manual has procedures for measuring various types of contamination, such as: * 2.2.25 Detection Of Ionizable Surface Contaminants * 2.2.27 Cl
