Hi Steve, I had face problem before. What I did, add addition process which is screen print that apply adhesive. During thru-hole assemble, the components hold strong by the solder. Try this.

Make sure your screen aperture size is about 80%, and you should not have a problem. Some pastes require a hump profile, to get rid of balls.

cleaning glue off of stencils

Is it o.k. to clean my glue stencils in the same IPA stencil cleaner I use for solder paste? Also if anyone with experience in stenciling glue can lead me away from first time pitfalls I would appreciate that as well. thanks in advance

Cleaning Machine and Chemistry

Well, the vendor claims the contaminant caused the component failures. So? The only feasible possibilities would be contaminated solder paste, wash water or coating -- or maybe the problem is due to defective resistors?

Can you increase the placement force on your P&P machine? It should squeeze the solder paste to all sides including the heel.
