Hi Steve, Could it possibly be a coplanarity problem? I have assembled hundreds of SMT connectors at a Flex house and we found quite a few coplanarity issues. In many occurances, the connector showed symtoms that you are describing. Good Luck Chri

Many years ago I remember the Philips CSM series SMT machines used a small tubular laser system for identifying fiducials on the PCB. Can anyone suggest suppliers for these devices. Thanks.

Don't discount some of the other Ex Fuji engineers. I was Senior to the Service engineers that went to SMT. I Trained many of them before they went into the field and I am less expensive on service. (ATS-SMT.com)

SMTnet web email was taken off line due to security issues. Many people were using it as a catch all email and it was getting an immense amount of spam and viruses. We were getting a lot of complaints and it turned into a maintenance nightmare. Neil

The Red-E set tooling is the lightest that we have found on the market. A key metric when attaching to a moving XY table like that of the 4791 HSP. Simple, lightweight, relatively inexpensive. I can't find many issues with that. T. Vick
