I'm not sure if the hardware has some of the banned substances, but our customer is in the medical field and the products must meet ROHS requirements. I don't think they would let us send the harware out for testing for fear of future problems. Thank

For a day or a week probably. Possibly a month. But I"m sure not for a year or such. There would be too many variables to know exactly how long it would be before the desicant became saturated. And it wouldn't meet the Jedec standard.

Simply ask your board manufacturer to Hot Air Solder Level the boards. HASL is a very common procatice at all board houses. Should not add cost and now your board meets this spec before you even touch it.
