Send it out to someone who can make sure. Gerber readers are hard to make changes with, which is their design. Send it out. Most places will charge @ $100 US.

Thanks Russ. As it turned out, it was an incomplete cure at the fab house. Rhey sent another fab over from the same lot that had sat for 3 more days, and it came out lavender instead of purple! have a good one!

Spare parts? Like what? If it's your belt motor, try cleaning out the gear box attached to it. 99% of the time it's the lube in this gear box that dries out and turns to glue.

Alex, We will be using acrylics only. We are looking for a machine that will allow us to have 20 to 30 keep out areas per PCB. How's your machine at keep out areas? Thank you for any input.

Can you send it out for repair. Best Electronics has helped us out in the past. I know they used to advertise here (see Earl?) in the past and can do some pretty cool stuff.

Does anyone out there have much experiance with the testronics bench aoi system? We apperently cannot get a demo and are considering the testronics and a mirtec system. Any other systems out there that are in the 25-60k range you would recommend?

If its just the X axis then I would say that there is most likely something wrong with the ball screw. Does it only do it when the axis is moving fast ? Take the support plates out and check for anything out of the ordinary under there.
