Recomandation for purchase of SMT lines

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 10 17:20:25 EST 2002 | Matt Kehoe

Dont forget, if you dont want to print paste and deal with the challenges of placing components in wet paste, solid solder deposit can save you the cost of the stencil printer, while offering better first pass yields than traditional methods. It just

I would like to find a site that is focused more toward through hole technology and wave soldering. This site has allot of helpful information regarding SMT but haven't seen much on wave soldering. If any one has a site or a link that they could pass

The idea that AOI is not needed on your production line is like running a marathon without training before hand. You can only expect to get out of any given situations the amount from which you put in.Without some way of monitoring your process..How c

Wave Pallet Lifespan

Electronics Forum | Mon Jul 15 15:09:45 EDT 2002 | peterson

Hi all, I am trying to find some data that will show me the typical lifespan for a wave pallet. I realize that it depends on material used (Durapol, for instance) temp profile, etc and I HAVE checked the fine SMT archives... Anyone have an average n

Yield levels

How do you capture the workmanship details on a "per joint" basis? I have recently implimented first pass yield in SMT but it is based on the whole part and not the number of joints. And yield is calculated by PCB failure rate..a PCB with a solder b

No-clean paste flux v.s RMA solder

Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 12 09:23:56 EST 2003 | MA/NY DDave

Hi I don't see in your note any particular reasons why you couldn't. If it solders well and passes what ever specifications you are using than everything is OK. If your repair faces some soldering or rework challenges where a more agressive flux is
