Solder paste has stencil life time - if you go over it means you should change it. If you print boards in front and keep them for too long before reflow, the flux is still evaporating, so you are not mitigating the risk. Paste also likes room tempera

The Datasheet should be sufficient to show that the past is RoHS complaint. If you're trying to satisfy a quality auditor that doesn't really understand PCB assembly, you could try requesting a statement letter from the past manufacturer stating th

0.66 area aspect ratio...so for example...if the device is 0.5mm pitch QFP, the pcb pad may be 12 thou wide..make the aperture 9 to 10 thou wide...and reduce it's length by 10 % overall compared to the pcb pad.... Depending on device pitch, select ap

Hi. Anyone in this forum experienced the lead-free solder paste SAC305 and SAC405? What are the differences to expect for solder paste with SAC305 and SAC405? What is the effect of silver (Ag) alloy in solder paste? It was really appreciated if could

there is no reason to completely clean a circuit board. If you don't use a professional cleaning machine, you will always have leftover paste. Use a test board until the paste print is ok. You can wipe this off several times until the paste print is

How have you created the oven profile? Have you taken into account the heat soak from the components/board/carrier etc. Is the paste being mixed correctly before use, is the paste in its use by date & at ambient temp etc? I thought almost all the

I wouldn't mix it in a jar with new paste. But in another jar to be used on the next job, sure. I mean if your concern is contaminates, doesn't that mean its contaminated on the stencil? Unless the board is a hard one to print, or has really tiny

Hey everyone, Does anyone out there use a solder paste height measuring system ? I would like to know what the standard is for paste height compared to stencil thickness and how you use it as a process tool. I appreciate any help. Thanks, Steve.
