We've done the same....Juki 2000 series versus Yamaha / Assembleon XT series....we found out that Juki is far better, more efficient, and easy to maintain...we bought 2020 last year and found that we made the right decision... Juki is the Best !!!

Ken, Thanks for the info but I do not see where this addresses my main concern of placement using an alternative to the tweezers and keeping the board on the conveyer. Please let me know if I am missing something. Thanks, Kevin

Has anyone done study or have feedback on 0402 placement capabilities of Europlacer Vitesse? What kind of common issues were seen when placing 0402s with the machine? We know the machine is rated for 0402s but don't know how reliable it is. Rgds, P

I run 0201 on a 5 mils stencil with openting of 15X12 and did not have any issue. The major concern is the placement and CP643 did very good job. Type 3 solder pastes was used. Good luck.

I used once flux cream on a glass plate for a customer application, which should simulate almost the same cohesion than solder paste.
