Assembly knowledge DB management

Electronics Forum | Tue Apr 20 03:24:44 EDT 2004 | michael

I'm looking for a system that will manage all the un-formal "know-how" of the differant processes (smt, prep., insertion, wave, mec.assy., etc., etc.) alog production/assembly line. Can some one direct me to such a system? Send some references? Any

Can anyone recommend a reflow profile for already flowed solder?

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 21 19:59:43 EDT 2004 | Ken

It makes no difference if the solder is in balls, ingots, bars, paste etc. The thermal profile satisfies key areas of the reflow process as a function of your flux and alloy type. Peak and duration above liquiduous are a function of the alloy. pr

Crystallised Joints

Try getting a small contract manufacturer who will build the boards for you initialy that way you can learn untill you establish the process once you do that you can have a fair idea of what machines to buy ? where to buy ? or maybe if the volumes

BGA rework machine operator pay

I'm looking for some input on a pay scale for experienced SRT/DRS operators. They do not do any profiling or process work - only remove/site prep/replace type work, along with any 'special' jobs like trace repair, masking repair, etc. They're current

Pb Free Components and Sn/Pb Solder

Electronics Forum | Thu May 06 10:52:08 EDT 2004 | John S

Many component manufacturers are moving to Pb free terminations. I've been doing a literature study of Pb free processing and have found several articles that indicate Pb-free paste with Sn/Pb terminations leads to early fatigue failures. Does anyo
