Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 08 11:44:44 EDT 2003 | Henry

I am fairly new to wave soldering and production processes, but I have been tasked with coming up with a calculation involving the shear strength of some through-hole leads. The leads are tinned copper and I suspect that tinning reduces the shear st

I was recently approached by a leading industry consultancy group and was asked, ..."if there have been any major advances or developments in the field of electronics production, what are they?" It got me to thinking, we've certainly witnessed some

Quality / Defect tracking

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 04 16:44:19 EDT 2003 | mleber

We are a military contractor running mixed technology CCA's. We currently "map" all defects off reflow and wave by indicating the defect on a map (plot from gerber) then passing it on to rework. The map is used for SPC data as well as overall perform
