Hi, Does anyone know what kind of cable the thinline profiler uses? I recently acquired one of these profilers, but it came with no cables. I went out and bought a female to female serial cable, but it did not work. It will not communicate with my P

Sure you can. But I don't have the time, money or resourses to do this. I do not have the luxery of only getting SnPb parts. Wish I did, but I don't. As for temp specs, I know the specs on all my parts. We profile our ovens every month. We can

as most of our components are described in AML list, we can't play with that so much... so we focus on preparing the line tools/materials before the change (paste, spatulas, test pcb) - and Yes all the dressing for Juki is ready, for TCM most of the

I sell wave solder optimizer in Philippines. I have sold many of this optimizer system. It cost less than US$10K. Most of my customer is happy with the performance except for some issues from customers like LCD not yet colored, uses RS232, upgrades

Hi Mr. Necdet Ozyonum, Recently we did have same kind of problems when we use lead free reflow profile for leaded solder paste (AIM WS-483). There where solder resist lacks, we found white residue after aqueous cleaning. Not in the solder joints but

Hi, AJ, In general, the peak PCB temperature is variable depending on the profile used. We try to keep our peak temperatures in line with the paste manufacturers recommended temperatures; ignoring the peak temps for the PCBs. For the peak temps yo

I made progress and almost acceptable results by adding heat to the bottom of zone 4 HOWEVER, the core problem I uncovered last night/this morning was that the #4 top side blower had failed. I think this is the key why I was having so much trouble.

BGAs are actually easy, but proper stencil design, solder paste placement and oven profiles are a must. Especially oven profiles as this is your only indication that the inner balls have reached proper temp, since you cannot visually tell. If you g

With our last two ovens (Heller and now BTU) spanning the past 7 or 8 years I did it once a month and have never seen any issues. Reflow ovens these days with PID controllers know exactly what they are doing inside well before you run a profiler thro

This can be seen on leaded soldering also as well as LF (worse with LF). To reduce this you can look at your stencil and profile. Printing a cross-hatch deposit can reduce the voiding as it allow gasses to release when in reflow - thats the theory
