Has anyone done study or have feedback on 0402 placement capabilities of Europlacer Vitesse? What kind of common issues were seen when placing 0402s with the machine? We know the machine is rated for 0402s but don't know how reliable it is. Rgds, P

Has anyone done a study or know of one that addresses the flow / no-flow underfill differences for CSP devices. My main interest is in the reliability of the CSP and underfill. Any help would be great. Thanks, Mike

weve done a few evaluations for the no-flow underfill and for the reliability I think it has already passed MRT L3 @ 220C reflow. What is it specifically you're interested about the flow u/fill??

If you can't get rid of all caps near the edges, don't forget Neil's advice above regarding parallel vs. perpendicular. I have seen a 90 degree rotation make a huge improvement in the reliability of some caps.

A good standard could be 99.7% of Pick up reliability in terms of machine performance, but you should take care of the cost of the parts that you are scraping.

Does a third solder reflow compromise component and solder reliability? We find that the only way to rework a particular BGA without warpage is to reflow the entire board.
