thanks for your inputs,but what i meant was that a connector component beside the BGA for repair has some flux residue on its leads after baking, the BGA was Ok. we are wondering why this happened...pls enlightened us.

Really . . . 40,000 Euro for a new Heller 7 zone oven? Sounds too good to be true. Anyway, if thats the case I would not invest 20K to reapir a 10 year old oven.

You likely will not get 10 years of service out of the Heller and it is certainly not as well built as the VIP-98. If those things do not matter to you and it's all about the money then you sound like the perfect Heller customer.

Russ is correct. We have been using SAC 305 for SMT and SN100C for wave and selective and repair for about a year. May switch to SN100C in SMT at some point if we can get some paste that wets better.

We are into PCB testing and one of our customers has expensive foreign equipments whose warranty period has expired. He is looking to have them repaired locally. We found most of the problems are with the PCBs.
