Hi, the easiest way to see if there is PB is to get blank paper and to rub the balls on the paper, the balls with Pb will left visible trace Best regards Tsvetan

I've made storage bins made from old beer cases i had laying around. Seems to work well and I can check to see if any parts broke off b y looking at the bottom of the case.

We have an ac30l advantis machine with a lighting head for about a year now we place a lot of 0603 parts some from vishay we are not seeing this problem yet

After hand soldering I am getting solder flags on my boards (see attachments). Any one have an idea on how to get rid of these flags or are those acceptable?

Algorithms, Schmalgorithums. They're ALL Comparators. It's just that some compare images, while others compare interpretations of images. (Algorithms) Okay...let's see what can of worms I just opened....

What flux are you using? We use a low-solids No-Clean water-based flux. Maybe some of what you are seeing is not residue from the flux but is from reaction with the solder mask.
