Bob, Great theory if you're selling SN100C, but I have to disagree that an alloy being 4C off eutectic will cause cracks. When a solder joint exits the solder wave, there is an immediate drop in temperature of 100C. so being off 4C is irrelevant.

Hi Ams, I often cringe when I read replys like the ones you got. I will give 'chris' the benefit of the doubt in that he is sincere in his response. However, there are people posting here with agendas to sell specific equipment. Without knowing

Soltec Parts - cheap?

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 16 17:01:23 EST 2006 | darby

Never had anything to do with Soltec so I cannot comment on their service. However. You must realise that machine manufacturers/distributors incur a cost in storing spare parts and making them available for immediate delivery. They are not held on co

Electronics Forum | Mon Feb 20 17:56:46 EST 2006 | Chris

If you are running FR4 PCBs and not something exotic like Kapton flex circuits, I would go with the Dek 265 any day of the week. You will find that Dek supports the fully automatic printer much better than the semiautomatic printers like the 260, 24
