Ok, now we found the problem source. IM-556; panel control was damaged that cuase no supply voltage out to reference sensor, S2/S2.1 I would to share, thank you.

If the machine was working appropriately before the hard drive failure i would lean on the issue being a configuration issue. Lots of machines have options in their software for different sized motors, limit sensors, IO configs, ext. See if you cant

Z-force sensor is a tool travel indicator. It has nothing to do with Z travel. Does the Midas head move at all, during initiation? It sounds to me like a Z motor/encoder problem. Is the Midas head ribbon cable plugged in?
