Hi C.K. , You can ask your PCB manufacturer to cover all vias with solder mask from CS (It called "pluged" vias). It's done from one side to prevent any close area that can cause "eraption" of solder because of pressure under reflow. All our boards

We are going to hand place through hole connectors by screening them top side in a double sided reflow board. I saw this done before sucessfully on a daily basis but is there anyone with a paper or specs as to what aperture size, any special pad cons

Hi Kevin!!! I have worked with both sides boards in 3 differents ways: a)Glue-Solder paste- Manual assembly- Wave soldering For the bottom side we placed glue dot in the board then we placed parts and finally the convection reflow at 150C each zone

I side (not that we every actually choose sides here) with the other poster re: reducing solder volume. There is a solder manufacturer that advertises regularly in trade mags. that there are "Absolutely! NONE....NIL....NADA.....mid chip beading/mic

We are using a spray type stencil cleaner and hot DI water to clean water washable solder paste. I want to use the stencil cleaner to also clean misprinted PCBs. However, we consistently find solder balls on side A of a double-sided misprint. We

I some something like this. My package was not flat the belly of the body rested on the PCB. We found that every 4-5 part would wander to the side. What was puzzling is that the blowers would have blown it the opposite side. ultumately we proved

We used Thermal Pads, made of black rubbery material, and sticky on both sides (like x2 side tape), intent is to place in between, BGA/QFP and the PCB board, and reduce the air-gap flow between, the PCB to SMD... air-gap will permit air flow, that i

We have run some experiments on double side BGA assembly. Our preliminary results show that complete overlap of top and bottom BGA's indicate fair results, even after reliabiltiy tests (vibrations, temperature cycles, HALT). I will be interested to h

We are to use a special pressfit connector. Indeed, one side of the connector is overmoulded in a housing, and the other side will be pressfitted on a board. We would like to know: 1) Are such applications yet existing ? 2) What are the type of inser
