Hello - I am looking for a source to supply low thermal EMF solder - can anyone provide pointers ? In the past a cadmium - lead alloy was used for this, but these are banned (RoHs) ... - the aim is to minimize thermo-couples on a very sensitive 4 lay

Hello Michel...this might be a bit of a battle finding the low thermal EMF material that you are looking for. The first one that comes to my mind is Bismuth Selenium Telluride, with either a nickel or cobalt doping agent. Silver went away from this

Let me thank you for the reply. We are manufacturing products which are fitted on the aircraft. We are using SN63Pb37 solder paste for PCB assembly. Of late one of the solder paste supplier recommended SnPbAg for better solder-ability & reliabi

Do you have a solderable surface (walls)? It looks like most walls have a silver arc at the top but some do not (especially the last link) which I interpret that it has been plated (in most cases). Is it possible that the component does not have suff

I've got good news and bad news: GOOD: I love Ag2 solder it's the best, most well behaved, reliable, couldn't ask for a better general purpose solder. BAD: It's leaded. I'd be concerned about embrittlement issues when soldering to gold that was 10 t

Ok, that's small - I think you may need a special semi-conductor printer for this - positional accuracy on a "normal" SMT printer is no more than 20 micrometres from memory. In my semiconductror fab days we were printing with a positional accuracy
