Help, experiencing discolor of a white solder resist paint after reflow of 250 degree, it turned yellow. Have tried many paints, no luck. Anyone knows one that wouldn't change color and holds the white nicely? Thanks for your support in advance.

Questions are: * On what portion of the second side of the board [eg, solder only, solder mask only, etc] do you see this white hazy residue? * Could you attach a picture? * You mention cleaning this residue. What have you used to clean the residue?

Solder mask between pads in case of fine-pitched device footprint may not be a practical solution to implement. Cheers !!!

Try a simple solder mask. I use Chemtronics. A bottle is only arond $20 and is as easy to apply as it is to remove. A cheap, quick fix.

I realize that I wrote wrong. Sry The stencil of 0,1mm of thickness is printing 45% more volume. I know this becouse the SPI is setup with the stencil gerbers and the messurements have a median of 145% of volume. what do you mean with excesive sold

Hi, thank you both for answering. Unfortunately, due to volume and the components we repair it is not viable to switch to selective soldering. I already contacted TechSpray and they suggested that I switch to 2211, but I don't think it's going to ho

Are you watching for copper dissolution? At one place I was asked to check why we had no barrels with some PTH locations. It was being dissolved in the solder fountain during rework.

Why don't you use peelable/washable solder mask on the SMT components next to the T/H pins? Then, you won't have to worry about keeping the tight tolerances.

First, this is the result of bad printer setup. Adjust knife pressure, PCB gap, separation speed, tooling, and stencil cleaning. Pay attention to the coating of contacts pad and height of solder mask of PCB.
