What pitch? You can go 5 mil or even 6 mil stencils depending on your screen printer. Also what do you consider "less solder"? What defect are you having. Remember on a QFP you use the heel filet to determine proper solder joint - not the toe.

I have a rarely used Wenesco that's about 4 years old that I would be willing to get rid of. Its filled with lead free solder. We just bought a full size automatic selective solder machine which arrives next month, so we'll go from using it once in

We have a YesTech YTV 2000. I'm being asked to set up a program to test the destination solder on through hole parts to make sure there is a lead in the hole and there is solder in the hole. If possible I need to test for bridging also. This is being

Looks like you have a great wetting of your paste :). Once body has been in contact with molten solder, the package could suffer damages on the body(outside and inside) and on the circuitry inside. It is considered a defect. I have seen that before a

Well, I'm going to assume you: * Have a nichel barrier between the copper on your board and the gold / solder solution * Use a lead / tin near euthectic solder If so, I pick "C" - It doesn't matter. When concerned about copper tin intermetallics, t
