Immersion Silver Reliability / Peelable mask

Electronics Forum | Sun May 30 09:35:27 EDT 2004 | davef

Sure, I'd expect your PCB fab has given you a information sheet on handling, storage, and whatnot, including recommended temporary solder masks. The cats & kitties in the stockroom are the first people to start your search. It's probably squirreled

Can anyone recommend a reflow profile for already flowed solder?

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 21 17:27:27 EDT 2004 | russ

We always use the regular production reflow profile when we use this method. Since you don't want to do that, All that is required is to ramp the part up to temp to get the balls to melt. If you don't exceed 2C per sec. in a ramp you will be fine.

We have switched over form Indium's nc-smq92 to nc-smq92j and are experiencing a ton of solder balls. Even if the print is dead on we still seem to be getting them. We never seemed to have this problem with old paste unless the print was way off. Is

yes this paste is a pain in the paste.... there are very few reasons for solderballs, component to pad ratio and placement.... solder paste control, using a mixer, not hand mixing, checking viscosity and temp..... or simply and bad profile and your

MPM uses a one-print-Mylar system, as do other printer mfrs. In this system there is a Mylar sheet attached to a frame that is secured over the printer table with the board on it. You print onto the Mylar. The table X-Y-theta manual adjustments are u
