The pallets are made of a black composite that is 5MM thick, and yes, the bottom is beveled to the cut out space for the connectors. The wave solder machine is a Treiber, so the wave height is hand set. I always aim for the center of the leading edg

Hi Jay, please let us know your inputs from the seminar regarding SN100 Nihon solder from FCT. This solder seems to have a higher melting temp of 221C. It prints well and visually looks similar to SAC alloy. Have no reliabilty data though. Jay

On "Solder beading seemed to be a problem", consider revisiting the thermal recipe used for reflow. The PTH barrel may not be getting warm enough. On "Component not being designed to pin in paste work, with no proper standoffs", consider: * Using a

I saw in a presentation that military testing of lead-free soldering for reliability has not gone well. Basically, unlike commercial applications where the alloys performed better they did worse when under the more extreme military and aerospace con

can some one give me some suggestion to solve the problem. we are using cooksun/alphametal rma9086 paste for our screenprinting. after the reflow we see lot of solder ball on the board. we have maintained the exact profile given by the manufacurer. w

Lead free is not define as NO lead and "a maximum concentration value of 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials for lead shall be tolerated." Check below link. So replaced your solder from the pot when exceed 0.1%. http://www.leadfree.org/files

Hi, The normal electronic components you purchase should have lead free variants. Also, all solder paste manufacturers have lead free solder pastes, so you just need to get the paste specification, and then re-profile your oven for it. Temps are hig

Hi Everybody, Mostly customer asked about the solder paste height checking after printing process. Is it compulsory to check the height if we are using stainless steel stencil and metal blades in fully automatic printer.Any technical answer to their

I was curious if anyone else has ever added water soluble flux to water soluble solder paste that is only a few days old, but is too dry to use in production. Also, are there any known bad side effects to this process. I have already searched the arc

I believe I read somewhere, that using leadfree solder in the wave, the dross will actually collect in the bottom of the solderpot. I can't remember where I read this (maybe a nightmarrish dream I had one night). If so, how do you remove it from the
