Appreciate your suggestion. NSMD pads are used for this design, the anomalies we found are 1. the trace running between pads has a lesser solder mask height compared the other area of the pads. 2. the NSMD pads doesnot have a trench close to pad e

We sometimes have a misprint and we would never re-print on a board with paste on it already because it will surely get paste all over the bottom of your stencil and could smear between traces. If we do mispront we have to clean the paste off the boa

A friend in the contract coating business said: "... ask why the wire is [teflon] coated in the first place, as only the solder joints should be coated in this situation as the flexing/bending of the wires will cause the coating to crack and flake of

An assembly with this improperly solder joints will have functional issues. We have encountered this many times with memory modules failures,RMA units. Reflow always solved the problem (in our many cases). Dwelling time may be the key to solve this.

Never used stainless pots as when we converted to lead free we changed all the pots to titanium. Been using SN100C for many years now, very good results, also use it in reel form in our selective solder machines with great results. Bear in mind the

We've run for about 2 years with SN100C on a Stainless pot, and all looking OK at the moment - we have just drained the pot and swapped to a similar solder (customer request)so we had a good look as we were interested to see what was happening. To be

Good day, Having recieved new batch of PCBs with OSP surface finish, I have noticed that some polygons not covered by solder mask and solder paste become darker after second reflow cycle compared to PCBs not being sent to reflow. I wonder whether i

Is anybody using Vicor VI Chips (SMT version)? We are using a number of these on some of our boards and are having inaccurate placement and insufficient solder issues (8 mil step stencil still not enough). If you are placing these devices: 1. Which
