Does anyone know of a technique t selectively remove solder mask outside of the traditional scraping or grinding methods. (This would be in areas around an area array part.) BWET

Thanks Dave! I'll see if I can find the standard on IPC's website or inhouse (our company) if I am lucky. I appreciate it. What type of flux are you guys using? No clean? or Water-soluble?

Thanks for the reply Russ. I did check the archives before I wrote in. Must have put too many words in cause nothing came up. Found it this time. Lots of good info there. Thanks again

Sue, Go to a local hardware store and get yourself some Castrol Super Clean. I think there is some stuff called Zep that works well also. A strong solution of powdered Tide and hot water will well too.
