It doesn't look to me like the jumper wire is wetting at all. I would immediately question the solderability - do you know how that jumper wire is finished (plating type)? Also, how experienced are the solderers? It could be that the wire never get

Do you have clear picture show how it looks like solder open? And you can run DOE with TAL and soak time and peak temperature to see which factor is key, or non of them is key then you can try add some flux to see if better before change solder past

The reason the resistors are fitted at a later stage is to complete the circuit but the values that will be fitted depends on the frequency range desired. My preference would be to leave them free of solder, limiting the options for the process used

Hi, We are currently using WonderMask PX Peelable Solder Mask # 2222 for the wave rework process, but we are having a lot of trash in the pot. I understand that it is because the solder mask resists the pot temperature (500F) but not the rework tim

Hi. Anyone in this forum experienced the lead-free solder paste SAC305 and SAC405? What are the differences to expect for solder paste with SAC305 and SAC405? What is the effect of silver (Ag) alloy in solder paste? It was really appreciated if could

The component should float into place provided you have the correct amount of solder paste. Perform a solderability test on the pads. We have come across new components with oxidation that prevents wetting. This will cause components to not self ali

Like I said a lot of people don't tape the gold fingers the first time they run them. After that they make sure the fingers get taped up because solder gets places you don't think it does and once it touches gold, that gold is contaminated. How do y

Here are the nozzles that soaked, but didn't get tinned. Since the solder joints also had yellow, I am wondering if the contamination is lingering in the solder pot, and getting on the joints. The Superior is never applied to a board. In the board

I'm sure this isn't the same situation, but we did have a selective solder machine with crazy dross and solder ball build up. Turns out the operator switched the low pressure nitrogen line used for solder level and the high pressure nitrogen line fo

Hi Researchmfg, If upload picture would be great to interpret this question, anyway,if bridge occur defect should be adjudge NG product,to avoide this issue, firstly, bridge is a PCB defect that happens when solder gets to an area it shouldn't be. You
