YesTech F1 speed

The review time varies depending on the product. But it could take anywhere from 10s to over a minute depending. That doesn't leave much time left on this new line. What AOI are you using now and with what equipment?

I'm at a different, smaller company now. I'm using YesTech now as well, but only as post reflow inspection later in the process, no pre-reflow.

I suppose I worded that poorly, we run a B2 bench-top unit later on in the process (QA area to be exact) so it isn't in line with anything and doesn't have to keep up with anything feeding it upstream. And we run Juki equipment.

Reflow profile prediction software

Does anyone know of any good profile prediction software for free, trial or on the market that is not coupled with hardware. We want to specify the environment, paste, board and oven etc variables and have the software suggest the best cavern temper

I'd start with the paste manufacturer's data sheet. You may be surprised how wide their process window is. If that doesn't help... Can you increase the number of PCBs in your panel?

Very good suggestion. We have MPM Speedline printers. Typically we stick with the default after providing the board dimensions. Maybe there's some room there for improvement.

Mechanical Delamination at de-panel

Check out the set up of Depanelizer. Try to cut at slower speed & check the blades to make sure it is not time to resharp the blades. If all this parameters OK I would sustect lamination process of board house.

I think his units are wrong. We did a very thin board with some 0805 resistors on it at 80 cm/minute. This generated a profile a little over 4 minutes. Regards, Jerry

Hi Edri, Unless there is something wrong with your conveyor there shouldn't be very much vibration. What little there is would not cause components to move around. Jerry

We also run about 1.21 m/min on our profile, never had any parts shake loose.
