Thanks for all the replies. I guess my next question would be regarding software upgrades. The newest software probably wouldn't work, but is there a point at which we can upgrade?

If the operator has zero charge and the board has a 10kv charge, when the operator pulls the shorting strip from the edge connector after the coating has cured, there is a large potential for ESD induced damage.

Sorry looking at your profile again and considering its Aluminium substrate I would opt for an increase to the preheat or introduce a soak to the profile to get the PCB up to reflow. Try soaking between 175 - 200C sufficient enough to heat the whole

thanks for the inputs. we are planning to run on fuji nxt i think cycle time will not be an issue. i still have another question if we can still use the same reflow profile for paste? or do we need to create another profile?

For low volume work and repair, just use a brush dipped in tacky flux to apply flux to the ball array.
