If the X axis is moving then maybe your Elmo is not adjusted correctly. There is a procedure to adjust it in the manual(assuming you have the original manual). The correct location is XGTS which is a white connector on the booster. The fans are 24V

I am experiencing many solder balls when using my selective solder machine when leads are fairly close together. Using a no-clean flux (3.4% solids). I have changed the volume of flux with no change in amount of solder balls.

The easiest (and cheapest) solution would be to just split the reels. Do you guys use the Mylabel software that MyData offers?

It should be pretty straight forward while taking it apart, just make sure you label things, and be ready to run through every one of the calibrations after it's put back together. Oh, and have fun Bill!

One bit of advise is that when looking at the person to unload the boards at $12hr. That person is usually twice that in real cost to the company adding in insurance, comp, and all that goes with it.
