Set Command Variables

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 11 18:51:16 EST 2005 | primus

The operators use SET SEQ and SET SEG. I know all about getting these wrong, because if you forget the "Q" or the "G" you get SET SE which is SET SENSOR. That REALLY messes up our BEC! But then again, I believe our BECs are all calibrated wrong anywa

Problems with SN100C in a Soltec Delta C Wave

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 13 06:20:45 EDT 2006 | bk

Well grant just to let you know i feel your pain. I've been wavesoldering with sn100c since January and let's say i'm still learning everyday. Some of the typical causes of bridges are not enough flux when the board hits the solder. Also it can be bo

Solder reflow temperatures too high

Electronics Forum | Sun Jan 14 12:42:35 EST 2007 | SMTRework

I think the main cause of this condition is #3 because both #1 and #2 never change from board to board, these are identical boards with identical BGA revisions. These BGA's (as stated before) are about 3 years old.. I don't believe they are lead free

http://www.surfacemountprocess.com/solder-paste-printing-process.html this site has some pretty good general advice for the novice. I am in no way affiliated with it and I have no idea as to its eventual commerical aims (if any). ENIG if your produc

How Quad Align works? (Quad IV-c machine)

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 02 08:12:55 EDT 2019 | dfl

Hey guys, I'm using my Quad IV-c for a while now and I already manage to run some batches, but I never used the "Quad Align" feature before, since almost all my boards are 1206 parts, that doesn´t need a ton of precision to align. Anyway,

Old Quad 100 worth saving/converting?

Doug: To remove paints, we've tried a bunch of stuff like messy, hazardous chemicals (ie, methylene chloride, xylene, toulene). We've blasted (erzat been blasted???), like Stu says. We used etching pens. Auuuurgh!!! Now, we paint over them with

Re: footprint formula

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 02 13:17:00 EST 2000 | Russ

Jack, a couple of questions first, 1. What pitch are these leads? 2. What are the lead footprint dimensions? 3. Orientation of component? I personally have never had much luck soldering QFPs in the wave unless they are 50 mil pitch or greater, we o

Sn96.5Ag3.5 Lead Free solder

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 25 04:28:49 EST 2000 | Sze-Pei LIM

We faced terrible void issue while using Sn96.5Ag3.5 solder paste, more than 20% void. We tried adjusting the reflow oven profiles but we did not have much success in reducing the void. Generally, we find quick preheat, high peak temp. and fast cooli
