Setup Guy Thanks for the compliment. So, COB is not SMT. What is it? What kind of assembly areas do they use to print, place, reflow, and glob-top [or wire bond / encapsulate] COB? Any information you gave give to clairify this is appreciated.

Hi everyone! I need several Upstream & Downstream SMEMA Interface cables for the line I'm pulling together. Can anyone advise me on where to buy some pre-made cables or do I have to do them all myself? Thanx, bobruz rruszanowski@moog.com

HI Friend, My SMT Production Floor RH reading are 38%RH to 65%RH. It is within control or as per IPC/J-STD or orthers industries standard recommendation? Hope to hear comment from anyone. Thanks!

Good afternoon, 22C +/-2C, 40%RH +/- 5% is a good starting point. I wonder if any standard requires floor temperature and humidity control. Most of requiremens come from solder paste manufacturers. BR, Pavel.

J-STD-001 makes RECOMMENDATIONS but they are not REQUIREMENTS. Only REQUIREMENT is to make sure your ESD control is adequate if RH falls below 30%.

Try this: http://www.tkb-4u.com/code/smdcode/indexsmdcode.php for starters. I'm curious and a little confused, though.....how is knowing who made the part going to reduce/eliminate dropped parts?

Or do you mean who manufactured the machine? If so it should have a serial tag, if not it's been butchered by a third party.

Sorry I should have made it more clear. My operators are not identifing the parts after a job is run, all they are doing is bringing me a bag of parts at the end of a shift. By knowing the manufacture, i can look it up in our oracle system to identif
