Problem: Flux remains on the board in the masked areas after the wave solder process. We use Multicore X32-10m no clean flux. There is no post wave cleaning. While the flux residue is not conductive, it is unsightly and it may interfere with a be

Dear all, Thanks for your comment! Dave, your suggestion is very useful. I can find several good machines at there. Thanks! John, your curiosity is quite normal, as I also have no idea of the board. It is a new model. We haven't got the boards yet,

I have a problem with a mixed technology board. The board have two PGAs which are soldered in the wave soldering machine together with two connectors and a lot of glued surface mounted small components on the secondary side. The problem is that some

Most robust wave soldering machines will cope with lead free alloys. The temperatures in air that we have run has been between 260-265C. In my opinion the dross generation has not been significantly effected. I was doing a workshop for a well known

Dr. Lee, For lead-free wave soldering, we are recommended to use SnCu0.7, why not 0.8 or more ?? Since SnCu0.7 has eutectic melting point at 227 deg C, does it mean with more Cu or less Cu, the melting point will be higher ?? Also, in lead solderin

KA, Joshua makes a good point. A wave solder fixture will allow you to process your double-sided boards without having to add the epoxy step. The one time fixed cost of a fixture is quickly offset by the time that you save by not gluing your SMT.

Folk's, I'm just tying up some loose end's on my Master's Thesis on solderballing @ wave soldering and the effect the topography of the mask / PCB has on it. I was wanting to do a straw poll on you guy's as to the type of resist's you are using Glos

| We intend to use VOC free fluxe in our nytro machine. Does anybody know if there can be problems with water ie. solvent residues in the tunnel. Perhaps there are some white papers available on that issue. | | | | | Dear Raeto, In my experienc
