My original intent was wave solder analysis. However, after getting the price quotes I quickly changed my tune to" Ya know we could this in incomming inspection also."

davef, Thank you for your opinions. If I need to look at my wave process, which area do I need to check?

Mandy, you chicken. You should throw that xray machine in the lake!!! Typical DOE Wave Process would include: Trial Number|| Conveyor Speed (m/min)|| Preheat Temp. (C)|| Soldering Temp. (C)

Wetting with lead free at wave is a bit different. You may need to increase your flux parameter to gain top side wetting. May get rid of the voids too.

I'm going to attempt to resurrect this thread because a recent development has me interested too. Anyone experienced in this with respect to durability, cost, etc.?

Here's an article, which highlights the option your looking for as a new trend. You will have to do your homework in flux selection and find one that works for both processes. http://smt.pennnet.com/Articles/Article_Display.cfm?Section=Articles⊂secti

Hey Patrick, why do you need to select a single flux? Can't you just change the hose to the spray fluxer to another conatiner of flux, clear the line, and let it rip?
