Eric, Protective sleeve? The sleeving protecting the wires of the thermocouples? I bought mine direct from Heller. I think it was $90 for a set of 3 (my oven uses 3 thermocouples). They are close to thirty feet long (I'm guessing...they're much

We put it in one flow soldering machine probably 12 years ago now worked really well but was extremely brittle you maybe better off with the 1% Ag alloy as its more ductile. Look at AIM Solders site if you want further information on the alloy Itis a

SAM vs XRAY

Hello Glenn, thanks a lot for your response. The company I work for is launching LEDs production this year. We'll need to do a number of the environmental tests in our quality control laboratory. So the application for SAM and Xray systems is inspect

SAM vs XRAY

X-ray is probably more useful in the grand scheme of things. SAM will, like Glenn said, pick up delams in components especially at internal interfaces. X-ray will only pick up a defect like this if it's perpendicular to the delam, very difficult.

Our customer ask us how many repair (component removal, change and soldering) we guaranty for SMT components on our printed wiring board. We all have the number "3" in mind but we can't justify it by a standard. We can't reply "state of the art". Doe

Mike, Another thing to consider is the type of switching they may use. Older Asymtek masking machines used transitors to communicate upline and downline instead of dry contacts. The problem we had with this is dropping enough voltage across them to

Switch to New Reflow Oven

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 08 19:24:30 EST 2011 | swag

We are going to buy a new reflow oven this spring. It will replace one that is currently on-line. I have a small handful of golden boards wired with thermocouples and a ton of data to support the transfer of those specific builds. The hurdle is th

Almit are specialists in formulating fluxes for pastes and wires for the very very demanding Japanese assembly market. And the key to good SMT is how the flux performs...and our formulation improvements are driven by requests from the companies who a
