We typically use air to air thermal cyling for thermo-mechanical testing. However, you may also want to look at vibration and drop tests. Basically you use the same tests for underfilled CSP's as you would for regular CSP's Paul CBAR Lab

Khalid, Just from experiance the actual would be 0.4mm but the inspection size would be 0.3mm. This should not matter since you should be able to pull up the spec sheets on any part you place.( All you need is the Vendor and the manufacting part numb

Erhard, I am not sure what you mean. I believe bulk case placement only refers to C's & R's. Even then placing only 0603 and 0805. I assume you are talking about larger parts since you mention trays???

Wister: Those are neat results!!! What results do you get if you use different squeegee speeds with your viscosity DOE? With high viscosity and the print speed you're using the roll may be "skipping over" the apertures. Wadda loose? Dave F

Mark, You should be able to get whoever builds your wavesolder pallets to create some you can also use in SMT. The only difference is you might have to change pallet materials to reduce the weight. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong
