Type: Board Handling
Year: 2020
Details:
The FLEXLINK 1-FD is a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) buffer module used within a larger GENIUS Printed Circuit Board (PCB) handling system. It is a servo-controlled machine designed for high-speed, precise storage and retrieval of up to 25 PCBs on a production line.
Key features
- High-speed servo control: Uses a fast, precise servo motor system to accurately position PCBs for transfer.
- FIFO/LIFO modes: Can be configured to operate in a First-In, First-Out mode (oldest PCB is sent first) or a Last-In, First-Out mode (newest PCB is sent first).
- Storage capacity: Can store up to 25 PCBs at a time.
- Belt transport: Uses a belt-style transport system instead of pushers and pullers, which simplifies the storage mechanism.
- Integration: Designed to work as a module within the FLEXLINK GENIUS PCB handling system, which is standardized for electronics manufacturing.
Mechanical specifications
- Board transport: Antistatic flat belt.
- Buffer capacity:
- 25 boards at a pitch of 26 mm (1.02″).
- One older model, the F1200, could buffer 25 boards at a 16 mm pitch, or up to 45 boards optionally.
- Buffer modes: FIFO, LIFO, reject, and pass-through.
- PCB dimensions:
- Length: 80–500 mm.
- Width: 50–460 mm.
- Top/Bottom clearance: 50 mm.
- Board edge clearance: 3 mm.
- Conveying height: 950 ±25 mm.
- Width adjustment: Motorized system.
- ESD features: Transparent windows and antistatic belts.
