Flextronics Design Selected by Ericsson

Flextronics Design (Sunnyvale, CA), a business unit of Flextronics (Singapore), and Ericsson Mobile Platforms today announced the signing of a General Engineering Service Agreement for Ericsson's reference designs and platforms for UMTS, the third generation of mobile phones. Under the frame agreement, Flextronics will deliver a range of services that include engineering, prototype manufacturing, global test development and industrialization.

Flextronics will continue to significantly contribute to the design and engineering of mobile phones and high-end products with a focus on quality and yield while reducing the costs of manufacturing.
