Flextronics (Singapore, http://www.flextronics.com) has announced that it has been awarded a contract to be the logistics supplier of Xerox Corp.'s distribution in Brazil.
As part of the agreement, Xerox sold Flextronics certain assets from its former logistics center.
The deal allows Flextronics to expand its distribution and logistics services in the South American market. In addition, Flextronics will also manage the fulfillment and reverse logistics requirements for Xerox's entire product line in South America.
Flextronics' distribution sites are located in close proximity to metro markets and end users, allowing the company to process orders same day with next day delivery.
"This year alone, Flextronics expects to process and ship almost two million fulfillment orders for the South American market," said Tom Wright, president of Flextronics Logistics. "More importantly, the vast majority will be processed same day."
In addition to standard distribution services, Flextronics also provides build-to-order solutions that include labeling, kitting, asset tagging, packaging, printing and software downloading, as well as fulfillment solutions including freight management, customer receipt, reverse logistics and spare parts management and refurbishment.
