Paul Lancaster, BTU’s regional sales manager, presented the award to Ivan Romo, Principal of SMarTsol Technologies S. de R.L. de C.V., during the recent IPC APEX EXPO in San Diego, Calif. SMarTsol brought in the highest revenues in 2014 for BTU in the Americas and increased BTU’s sales in Mexico by 220 percent.
“We’ve been duly impressed with SMarTsol’s capabilities and the partnerships they’ve developed with their customers,” said Jim Griffin, vice president of sales and service, BTU International. “Mexico is a vital and growing region for electronics manufacturing in the Americas and we’re looking forward to another good year there,” added Griffin.
SMarTsol has provided BTU’s customers with first-class service with seven sales managers located throughout Mexico as well as seven service/application engineers servicing all of Mexico. The company has a demo facility located in Guadalajara that houses a full SMT line.
