BTU International Renews Partnership with the Local Boys and Girls Club

Jul 09, 2015

BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing and alternative energy markets, announced that it has renewed its corporate partnership support for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Billerica.

This is the 5th year we have renewed our corporate partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and we could not have made a better choice to support our community. The quality programs offered by the club, the dedicated staff and the engaged youth continue to impress us,” said Peter Tallian, general manager of BTU International.

Roy Nagy, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Billerica, commented: “We are happy to count BTU as one of our loyal corporate partners. BTU’s contribution will again be earmarked to support the club’s “Power Hour,” a daily after-school homework and tutoring program.”

BTU is among the businesses in the community that have come together in the Boys and Girls Club Corporate Partners Program. The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Billerica provides recreational, educational and social development programs at its main club house as well as at after-school sites at six Billerica elementary schools.

Bruce Quigley, director of global service and US production, and Jolanda Creech, corporate support manager, both of BTU International present BTU's contribution to Sam McLaughlin, education director of the BGC of greater Billerica, who is flanked by students Eliana Purtell on her left and Justine Emerson on the right.

For more than 150 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of America (GreatFutures.org) have changed and saved young lives during the out-of-school time, providing a safe, constructive environment when children are not at home or at school. Today, they provide that safe haven for nearly 4 million young people through Club membership and community outreach. The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica (www.billericabgc.com/index.asp) offers club programs and services to promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

BTU International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amtech Group (Nasdaq: ASYS), is a global supplier and technology leader of advanced thermal processing equipment and processes to the electronics manufacturing and alternative energy markets.
